Not Another Cold
For some reason I managed to catch another cold. I went into my first chemo session with a bad cold and it took three weeks to go away. One week later I either got another cold or the same one came back. I should not be surprised as my immune system is shot to heck these days. The only concern I have is how these will affect my blood counts. If they are not within a normal range I can not have chemo this week and will have to delay a week. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
On a fun note for me, my dear friend Kim is coming in from Atlanata today to spend the week with me. We get about two days to play and then she gets to babysit me the rest of the week.

Hey Cheryl and Family,
You are one determined woman! You are certainly fighting this with some gusto --we are so proud of you!
Hopefully some helpful advice: when Angelika caught her first cold after starting chemo, I resorted to having her wear a mask in public and even when friends came to visit. If anyone in the family felt like they were catching a cold, I would even have them wear a mask. The doctors didn't recommend it, but that was the last cold or virus she ever caught during her 12 week treatment period! Of course, our entire family became master hand washers and sanitizers!!!ha!
Take good care of yourself. As always, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love, The Barth Family

My guess is that it is the same cold that we both had. I can't get rid of mine either. It comes and goes. Darn! I thought that since the chemo kills everything else that surely it could kill a cold.
